Happy 4th of July (a day late) Found this WW2 era coat button which thrilled me. Some soldier wore this while serving his country. It may not be much but to me a Veteran who LOVES America's Birthday it had special meaning. Cleaned up nice with some apple cider vinegar
Congratulations, and to find it on such an important holiday is even better. The history behind our finds makes one wonder about who, what, and when.

Happy 4th of July (a day late) Found this WW2 era coat button which thrilled me. Some soldier wore this while serving his country. It may not be much but to me a Veteran who LOVES America's Birthday it had special meaning. Cleaned up nice with some apple cider vinegar

OK. I can't quite make out the rim shape but I think it is round so that would date your button from 1910-1927. If it has a black finish, and again I think I see some remnants of the black, it would date 1910-1923. If there is no black finish it would date 1910-1917 and 1923-1927. This is one in my collection.

Thank you! Im doing a bit of research myself and this was likely WW1 as that particular company produced that model. This was fairly crud encrusted when I dug it the apple cider vinegar would have done a number on any paint
