I think some people would call this a heartbreaker - not me! I love her just the way she is.. :) I realize it's a sad day when I start referring to my artifacts as "her"...

The best part about it is that I found it walking hand in hand with my 2 year old in a creek and let him pull it out!

I think it's a Dixon (early woodland in Illinois) and would love to hear your thoughts..

I think it is a very nice point and an even better memory for life!

That is a perfectly fine point, it looks like the wing was resharpened. The fact you 2 y/o pulled it out of the creek just adds to the coolness factor. Good find, Awesome day.

Thanks! It's really thin and you can tell it has great workmanship!

What a beautiful site that was...walking along waters edge and see that nice form staring at you knowing it's been laying there many years. Great piece!!!

Nice point and a great story. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, that's the kind of heartbreaker I want to moan about!

The entire event is awesome! Wow, nice point that you allowed your son to pull out. It don't get any better than that, and that point will probably have the most value. Priceless in my opinion. Congratulations and thanks for sharing a close to the heart moment!

very nice point, having the life jacket on the boy is a great thing too.thanks for sharing.

Saying "her" is fine because She's a beauty. Great find...

Thanks everyone! I caught it all on video and wish I could post it. As soon as he picked it up he started to yell "artifact, artifact!"

Awesome find! My 2-year-old granddaughter loves going to our creek. She screams "it's a rock, it's a rock", and carefully "wash" es it and looks at it before chucking it back into the water. What a special day for you and your son!

I wouldnt consider a tip ding a heart breaker. Very nice one you found.
