Howdy folks, I found this a few days ago. Eyeballed it just sittin' on the ground. The inside of it reads KIERA C(Z, or possibly 2)925 VN. Since 925 usually means sterling I'm assuming it is probably gold plated silver? What about the CZ or C2? Thank you and happy hunting!

Yes, it's gold plated sterling silver. It's difficult to see in your pics, even when enlarged, but I presume the earring has (or once had) one or more small stones, or perhaps is pavé set with them. Jewellery is often marked 'CZ' as an indication that the stones are cubic zirconia, not diamonds.

A lot of Kiera jewellery also carries a 'VN' mark, but I've never seen an authoritative explanation of what it stands for. Presumably it means something to Kiera but it's not a 'universal' mark recognised across the jewellery industry.

Thanks Red-Coat. Sorry about the photos, my hands were too shaky trying to hold it in the right spot for good lighting. Cubic zirconia is the meaning I got when I first google it but I didn't see a place where anything looked like it was attached so I figured I would just post it on TNet.

I think this is my first silver jewelry for 2020. woo hoo! Yes, I'm aware it is worth almost nothing in silver, but silver is silver.

Thanks again!
