California and Arizona are the biggest problems.

Taking land that was destined to be desert then turning it into plush real estate and golf courses and then expecting other states to provide water to support their luxuries is ludicrous.

Let California build their own desalinization plants and get their water from the ocean. Perhaps Arizona could then buy water from California to support their golf course habit.

True, but it,s done now.Time to say no would have been long ago.I like the idea of Kalifornia building their own desalinization plants. Doesn,t Saudi Arabia among others get a large percentage of their water this way? Another idea where you need to get the environmentalists out of the way and let the engineers do it.Good one!

They could build a canal or pipelines and allow some of the water from the Mississippi River and Missouri River which floods often to empty into the Colorado River.

pipeline.png

The pipelines from the Mississippi River in Davenport, Iowa connecting to the headwaters of the Colorado River at the Rocky Mountain National Park. The pipeline will end in the Rocky Mountain National park. The water will drain into the headwaters of the Colorado river.
To help prevent flooding of the great Missouri river and the Big Sioux River a pipeline intake near Sioux City where the two great rivers meet, can run down to connect to the pipeline coming from Davenport as it passes through.

Just for all you folks, I’m just a high school educated person with some army background, being that said I try to resolve problems , help thy neighbor etc, but if the hands of god r not coming down to eliminate suffering then , it’s going to get worse, it’s a subject that’s undisputed, if your living well financially great, but I have something to tell you , you will get old, pain and suffering sorry, unless you died quickly, my advice go find a park bench and reflect, rest your mind it needs it thankyou

Well I saw a sign in one of the western Colorado mountain towns yesterday stating water restrictions enforced. They're all in around the upper Colorado river watershed, so I'm thinking they've gotta be concerned about what's going downstream.

IMO... Harvesting HVAC water could be a solution.... if nothing else... a way to take the strain off current system.

If they collected all the HVAC produced condensation from just the casino's alone they would make a dent... and require them to use water produced to feed trivial things like fountains.

Copious amounts of water exists in the air my fellows.

I collect roughly 5 gallons everyday on hot days... enough to water all the plants in my yard.

[Nevada

NB74 allows for rainwater collection under a water right grant, which must be used for intended purposes or risk being revoked. Assembly Bill 198 states that the Legislative Committee on Public lands will review alternative water sources, including rainwater harvesting.]

Stay away from our Great lakes!
Bad enough that Nestlé was given the green light to drain our local springs even more.
400 gallons per minute leaves our local aquifer for Ice Mountain water bottled in plastic.
Who cares that folks Wells have gone dry.
Gotta keep hydrated!
And they pay just pennies for that water.
