It looks like a modern repro to me...but if you could get clear pictures of the stamped words that would help a lot. Can't read them.

1st - I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard Jr1487! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

2nd - I moved ya from HELP! over to WHAT IS IT? for more exposure.

The stamps are correct, I think, but I don't know if modern repros also include them. Remarkable condition, if antique. How did you acquire it?

Modern repo of a Union CW 58 Cal. cartridge box.

The wrench is a tool to remove the nipple/cone where the firing cap is placed. Also used to breakdown the rifle's lock plate.

The T handle tool is a nipple wrench as well.

The slotted item is used on the ramrod to place a cleaning rag.

When you say modern, how old do think this could be? And if you had to guess, what value would you place on it?

Welcome to Tnet from Toronto JR.
Interesting storage unit find, even though it's a re-pop, anything this well-made would have some value to it.

Here's a similar CS example currently listed on eBay, they're asking $139.00.

I'd say perhaps 1990's and up. I re-enacted from 1989-2001. $75 bucks for the whole lot.
