Great post.

Last year I checked with the Unclaimed Property Division in the state where I grew up.

Found out that I had 13 dollars waiting for me to claim it from a savings account I opened over 20 years ago with only 5 dollars.

Haha....I got over 100% return on my investment!

I would advise anyone to check into this. You never know what you might find. And also, search not only under your name, but the names of close relatives, friends, etc.

When I found my 13 bucks, I did a search for a friend of mine.
He has a week's pay waiting for him that he is owed from working at a restaurant in the early 70s.
Lazy sod will not get off his butt to claim it, so I keep bugging him about it.

i have since found big $ owed to 4 of my kin along with 56.00 owed my g-grandmother and 28.00 owed my g-grandfather, both of which have long gone to their reward...i started to claim it but figured if i didn't then their names would be on the list for eternity.......gldhntr
