Took an old indian head penny to show my old man. It's an 1864 in nice shape. Went into town and dump about $200 in misc. change. I was not aware that I also dumped my pocket change also.
Went to do some quick shopping and ran into a friend, reached into my pocket to show the injun and it wasn't there. Got a sick feeling in my gut when I realized what I'd done.
Decided against asking the CU to sell me the penny bags.
Went out to my truck and there was the injun, on top of the reject pile of coins in my cupholder. I also run my rejects sometimes back thru the counter, multiple times. Glad i didn't this time, whew! AMC

So was it the older copper-nickel 1864 indian? I would think the bronze one would go right through the machine

Yikes!

You had me get that sick feeling for a minute there...

Glad you got it back!
