Dead on. Great description too! Looks like a couple of the Plumb ones in my box. The marks should be on the side of the blade where the nail notch is. Hope they still show after the e bath!!No idea on the age, but my grandfather had one that he called a roofing hatchet. The notch was to pull nails, the hammer to pound nails in, and the axe part was for splitting the old cedar shake style shingles. Maybe that's what it is...
