Just getting around to posting pics of my finds from last Thursday and Saturday from my trip to the low country of SC. I decided to use my new to me Deus for this trip and was glad I did. I believe I am starting to gel with it a little. The highlights of the finds for me are the eagle button, 1857 flying eagle cent, Williams cleaner and the 1860 Indian Head. The weird melted lead items were a bonus. The other buttons weren't bad either. Tried to research the Jacob Reeds Sons button but only found 1 article that said it was possibly a police uniform jacket button. Thanks to several of the members for the advice and settings on the Deus. It is so far a blast to use and really fun to learn.

The rest of the pics are other items found that include what appears to be clock gears, oil lamp burner, knife, spoon, belt buckle and various other smalls.

Nice assortment of finds HighStrung. Thanks for sharing...

That's some very nice saves. I'd love to have a couple days like that. Excellent work with that deus. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for comments!

Those are a couple of nice small coppers, but I really like those buttons.

Nice stuff and a really nice flying eagle! It is definitely a police button. You may be able to figure out the time period Jacob Reeds and sons operated to help narrow down the age of the button.

Congrats on the nice hunt! :occasion14:

From looking at your finds, I'd say you're understanding the Deus' language just fine! :occasion14:
I love finding the early 'Nevada' type cutlery, the '60 I.H. and the '57 Flying Eagle Penny are good finds too.

Nice IHP and awesome flying eagle! That flying eagle looks like it's in great shape. Congrats! :icon_thumleft: That round item that you listed as "Lead?" looks like a hem weight. I hope to find one of those!
