Looks like a nutting stone to me.

I was thinking the same but it’s so small, odd shaped and the divot is off center. Not to say nutting stones are perfect but this one just seems odd to me. It does appear to be pecked though so I’m leaning towards man made.

Yes, me too. Many are battered around the edges where they were used as hammers.
