Markings on ring

Found this today in my backyard after a lot of rain. Was curious if anyone knows anything about the markings on the inside . I’ve been trying to research and I have not found anything . Thanks !

Hard to tell if the dots are purposeful or not. Doesn’t have the look of silver or gold. Is it possibly 8.5 for ring size?

Neat to find jewelry, valuable or not. I tried searching, also. I would agree that it doesn't have the appearance of silver or gold. I couldn't identify the "DS" mark , and the "g" in a circle seems to me that it would be more of a contemporary piece. Probably something inexpensive made to look like a Native Indian piece. Just my opinion, and I am not a jewelry expert, by far.

Nice find, it’s chip inlay, so it’s a lower end piece, but a find indeed!
