Well, your half right...that is a rock! That could be an arrow or old turkey track to the right of the crack in the first picture. I would look under the rock or where the chevron/arrow points.
That could be a recent carved 1 in the moss in the second picture. The turtle head I see, but as I recall it is referenced as a turtle back rock so the rock should resemble a turtle's shell.
I am enjoying your enthusiasm though!
