Like many of you, I've known Matt Rowe from different online forums for many years and met him in person a couple of times at shows. An absolute wealth of knowledge and experience.

He passed away a couple of days ago after a battle with cancer. If you use Facebook, you can see his page with the updates from his wife and David Bogle.

A Clovis point from Kentucky just to have an artifact in this thread so it doesn't get moved to the regular obituary part of the forum where I assume very few of us would see it.

Bummer , I often wondered why he stopped chiming in every so often. Thanks for the heads up Josh,

As Joshua mentioned, Matt was one of the most knowledgeable artifact collectors I have ever had the pleasure to meet and have discussions with. Matt was one heck of a nice guy and certainly a great loss to the artifact collecting community who benefited from his extensive artifact expertise.
The point in the image was a colorful favorite of Matt's.

No worries, thread wouldn't have been moved even without pictures, Neanderthal was a long time highly respected member of TreasureNet indian artifact forum.
