found in my colonial hole, most stuff ranges in the 1720's, but not sure if this button has the same shape, it silver colour not sure if silver tho, and it is blank, could I be missing something? or was it made this way

It's a Tombac button, you can see where it's been turned on lathe on the back. It's not silver, typically copper/zinc alloy. 18th century button....nice find!

gotta love how they made buttons back then, turning on a lathe, now they are just stamped, or made in molds. Much more pride taken in manufacturing back then. Awesome find, i love buttons
