MDing trip to Cedar Mountain

My son and I just spent 3 days on a private farm for the past week MDing and found these items. Can anyone tell me if the chain links and large hook in the picture look to be from CW period or not, they were found along with the other items and at the same time. The 10 bullets in the one pic were found in an 4ft X 3ft area.

I don't think so. Looks to me like a HD lift or tow hook. Did they use something in the CW like that to tow with ? I know they had chains. I'm thinking the two chain links I fond are CW but not sure.

Maybe a rigging hook for pulling artillery pieces.?

Chains could certainly be but I'm with repurposed horseshoe on hook.
