Hi all - was wondering if anyone had any insight into what this is. It is definitely metal, possible iron due to its rusty appearance. No markings whatsoever. Found in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

I think it's the tip off of Ahab's harpoon!!
Or the tip of a needle.

Ok all kidding aside... we need to know how big it is.
A little electrolysis might help in the ID, but with so little to go on it's going to be tough.

Awfully hard to say if it ever had any intentional use?. Could be just a corner of a piece of sheet or plate steel burned off with a cutting torch :dontknow:
