Beach High Banker, Sweep Jig, Whippet Dry Washer, Lobo ST, 1/2 width 2 tray Gold Cube, numerous pans, rocker box, and home made fluid bed and stream sluices.

A short hike but real steep near home is this old mine waste pile that still has some Gold . You can still find some rich ore if you take your time and work hard when crushed this stuff is loaded with gold .
Seems to me there is a good chance the specimens you are finding might make a metal detector sound off. Using one could make your climb even more worthwhile by increasing your finds.

We do use detectors and they sound off you could rake on this pile for years . Not the best spot on a hot day full southern exposure .

A few weeks ago my son and his detecting buddies were out there and one of them found a fist sized chuck that was screaming . They crushed it and recovered a 1/2 OZ my boys have found a couple of pieces containing 1 OZ after crushing and soaking in nitric acid . This was an open cut at least part of it and a lot of material was just dumped over the side I guess they didn't like rusty oxidized gold ore .
