Minelab XT 18000 info needed

I am thinking, maybe, of buying an XT 18000 (used). Are they good quality machines for gold hunting? About when were they manufactured? Appreciate anyone's input that has used one or knows about them.

I have an xt 17000 that found me a mason jar of wheat pennys and baffalo nickles near a corner fence post in South Dakota. Great Machine.
