Just some things over the years that haven't been identified. Maybe some different eyes can help. Iron piece with little hole in it looks like part of a gun ,idk. Object I'm holding appears to be cast iron. One end is threaded and body had teeth of some sort. I know the one piece is probably a keyhole cover. Has "A. Thompson" on it. Other 2 1/2" x 3/8 is a solid chunk of lead. No idea about that one or the other 2 brass pieces. Thanks for looking

The lead "pancake" might be one way it was sold back in the day. Years ago it was used for many things from plumbing to sealing around chimneys and window frames.
Yes that one still up in the air. Makes sense what you said though. Good paper weight

Actually... IMO... your "keyhole cover" item MAY actually be an "eye hole cover" for a door.
If it was some kind of hole cover would it not have a hole or stub in the small part ?

Looks like a ANIMAL flea comb for removing fleas. My wife uses them all the time on our cats.

I’m not sure what it was used for, but it’s very heavy with thick teeth.

He looked the patent up, but I can’t remember what he said about it.

Here is the one he found….

It is like i said if it was a cover it had to have either a hole or spike on the small part . We could not see the small back

Yes I see I didn't have pic of back. Sorry. Small part does have hole like you would push it on a protrusion of some sort and then it would swivel

Not to beat a dead horse but I was wrong. Hole would be on lock itself. Cover has stub

Even modern versions are made with no "spike"... or whatever.

Just a possibility... FOR>.. it it way too large for a padlock.

Here is a modern one you can buy... first search.... so with that said... yes MOST do have a peg ... errr or "spike" as Gare mentioned... but there are those that do not.
