Got out this evening to a local field for about 2 1/2 hours, found a few pieces of Pewter utensils (I love these for some reason :dontknow:)
Scored several wheats and two Indians....
One button...with some design on it..
Also found two silver dimes, one merc and one barber, the barber is beat up pretty bad
Also found but not pictured, were many rivets, shotgun brass and assorted pieces of copper, brass and lead....

Totals...

4-wheats couple in the teens
2-IH 1887 1906
1-Merc 1945
1-Barber dime 1899

Have fun out there...

You are pretty much the field king!!!

King?? nah,no crown for me Art.....just alot of covered ground, sore feet-shoulder and research buddy....Yesterday was 5-6 hours afield and one wheat was all that surfaced, some days I get lucky...
Some days I get the skunk...but either way I have fun

After seeing all your finds from the fields, I think I need to get my butt over to some of the farms by my parents house and get permission. I know of a few homesites in that area from the 1870's that were consumed by the corn. Keep em' coming.
