Hit a couple more pullout areas along the old highway. Got a mountain of old trash and two silver dimes. They're buggered up pretty bad from being driven over, but silver is silver. 1940 Rosie and mystery dated merc plus five beat up wheat cents.
Heading back to Reno tomorrow, so I'll be switching gears to water hunting.

Just to clarify, you said the Roosevelt dime was 1940, but they didnt start making them until 1948. Yours looks like a 1949. Nice finds though.

Just to clarify, you said the Roosevelt dime was 1940, but they didnt start making them until 1948. Yours looks like a 1949. Nice finds though.
Actually, the Roosevelt series started in 1946, but, I agree, it looks like a 1949.

Yep, typo at my end, 1949.
