Morning trip to the beach

Got out at sunrise this morning hoping for some good luck but that part didn?t happen. Not much to show, but had a great time doing it. I love the beach! And metal detecting being my new passion, it makes for a great morning any day regardless of the finds. Cell phone was beside some boulders, wasnt in sandy water too long and only covered by couple inches of sand from high tide. Going to let it dry out and see if it will work. Looks in good shape. Will see if I can return to owner somehow.

Nice rich...great to get out there no matter what the finds may be. It is amazing how many phones get lost !! Happy hunting rich !!

A beach just puts one in a completely different zone, doesn't really matter what they're doing, or even if they're doing nothing at all. It's a unique comfort zone.

I agree, just getting out with the detector is soothing to the soul. My wife doesn't get it, I go to a park and come home hot, tired, dirty and grimy and only a few coins to show for it, and she wonders why. Same with the beach, sometimes work 4 hours and nothing to show for it. Only a detectorist could understand why.

Thanks sphillips! My wife is the same way. I only started detecting earlier this year and have been reading posts on Treasurenet even before that. I show my wife all the beautiful finds by everyone and she keeps saying, Where are my beautiful rings, bracelets, chains, and earrings… I just laugh and tell her to be patient. All the time thinking when did it become about her finds. Then again she is the boss or at least she thinks that, lol. I just say yes dear and move on. I keep asking her to go out with me and see what goes on and maybe then she will get it why I love detecting with or without those finds. Maybe not, but we will see.

I agree with ya mark my favorite time, very peaceful and beautiful at sun up. Also is a little cooler.
