Some musket balls that I have been finding in diferent places in Chihuahua, state. Areas that where very active during spanish colony in Mexico.

Ring and coin just for reference of size.

Maybe some are not from that edge, due to are a perfect sphere

What do you think??

I have more but just few in this photo.

Have a Good week😎

Lead gun balls are very difficult to age. Size can help, for example those of around .70 inches a likely for old (1700s and eary 1800s) muskets. Ones around .50 can be for muzzleloading rifles and pistols. Judging that the ring in the picture is for an average-sized finger, all your balls look smaller than .50. If so, they may be from shotgun buckshot loads. If close to .44 or .45 they could be for revolving pistols from the mid 1800s. Fun to find but difficult to identify. It's amazing how many lead balls are found by metal detectorists.

Here's some sizing charts that might help ID the musket balls.
