Figure I would post some of my best finds for my first year and a half metal detecting. I am still new to this and still haven't figured out where to find silver coins where I live 20201106_180230.jpg 20201104_131735.jpg 20200515_091729.jpg 20200515_091733.jpg 20191218_105514.jpg 20191218_105519.jpg but I do hit the parks a lot out here.
I have found a total of just 4 silver coins so far. The 2 silver dollars and also a Washington quarter and a roosevelt dime. Already starting on a new jewelry box with the finds from this year. I have also found $1250 in clad change so far that I purchase bullion with.[/ATTACH] 20190724_141735.jpg 20190724_141748.jpg 20200518_152845.jpg

That is a really nice display box full of goodies. You do a great job cleaning everything up too.

Thanks. Most of it comes out of the ground clean. The gold and silver I soak and clean while I clean all the clad. Shiny is good :headbang:

Nice finds.
Having experience or owning the latest greatest machine does not equate to finding silver coins, that takes research, persistence and mostly luck.

That’s quite a haul for just a year and a half.
Next time I’m in Albuquerque, figure I’ll just leave my machine home.

I think it was some kind of glue on it. I cleaned it up and its shiny. I found both of them on Soccer fields so I think they were possibly used for the coin toss at the beginning of the game. Not sure if the one that had the glue on it was glued to a belt buckle or something. It just blows my mind trying to figure out how some of the stuff I find got there.

LOL, Trust me I have been a very busy person. My friend that got me started says I am pretty lucky. If you're familiar with Balloon Fiesta Park out here I have spent a lot of hours gridding it and a lot of the bigger parks out here. I have found 199 rings so far. Only 31 of them are Silver and 9 of them are gold but it is still cool to find any ring. Bring your machine. Maybe we can hit a couple places together.

That's crazy! I hunt old places that were active when silver dollars were in use and I haven't found one in 35 years. You go to a soccer field and find two :laughing7:

The first one I had no idea what it was when I looked in the whole at it. Thought is was a sprinkler head that was buried and then I realized what it was. Complete shock to me.

There is someone that posts on here called Clad2Silver and I got the idea from him. I look at it as free money so I might as well let it make me more :icon_thumright:
