This is the site where you have to wade across the creek to get there. My hunting partner was a little tentative but I was able to coax her across. this is my favorite spot because it's been totally abandoned since the 1880s no modern junk except for the occasional bullet. unfortunately any finds are few and far between. the place is such a pleasure to hunt but I can only expect one or two finds in a day. this trip produced a Canadian half dime from 1870 and an old flat button with the eagle facing left on the back.

Nice job. Canadian silvers are nice.

Looks like a great place to hunt and really nice finds. And it looks like you got a great partner also. My black lab goes EVERYWHERE with me. Even an hour deep inside a TN. cave. Then when I start to dig something she wants to lie in the hole or help me make it larger. Congrats on your cool spot to hunt and finds... hang onto your good looking partner... Brad

Nice finds and you have got a great hunting partner.

Your half-dime is beautiful, would love to dig one! :notworthy: What a marvelous partner and hunting area! I can't take my cat when I detect, but the large furry kitty always "helps" me when I sort and clean my finds at home. She also helps me when I paint pictures, which can get a little messy, lol. One old Silver makes for a good hunt, many hunts come without one. Well many of mine do.
