Hello all,

I’m happy to see that some of you were able to get out recently! I have some friends that rent a late 1890s house and I decided to hunt it today. My first target was a 1944 wheatie and second was the 1916 Buffalo. A clad dime then another 1944 wheatie followed by a 12-46 that was the 1954 Rosie! Went to the backyard but it was a bust as had a pool and I believe they used the dirt as fill on the rest of the backyard. So back to the front and hit the curb strips. A spattering of coins then an 11-44 was a huge surprise as my first Barber dime surfaced and is a beautiful 1908-O!! Found 3 more wheats, a 1929, 1945 and 1958. Also, found a 1941 Jefferson. Last coin was stuck under some roots and was another 11-44 and another surprise as a 1937 Mercury dime surfaced to complete my trifecta! Sadly, I scraped the reverse up pretty bad on it. Oh yeah, found two tokens also, my first 2 of the year.

very nice barber, congrats on the TRi. What kind of tokens are they?

The one on the left is a Van Brook of Lexington, Kentucky token and I’m not sure what it was used for. The copper token is a Corrie-Regan and Associates Parking token, their company does a lot of parking control and security systems in the Birmingham area and was founded in 1959.

You got the barber out without scratching it! NICE and GRATS!

Excellent hunt
