Got out for a hour today to test out a new 6 inch coil for my Nox and found this King George VI 1944 Half Penny on the old homesite on my property, it keeps coming up with interesting things. I thought it was a new designed quarter until I cleaned it off a bit. Reverse shows Sir Frances Drake's ship, the Golden Hind.
My first half penny!

Well done. I got one couple months ago on a multihouse tear out here in OKC. Never expected that. Informed that the boys brought them home from WW1 & 2. Found my first general service button today, at a tear out in OKC, kinda downtown of all places. Got it with the XPD1 with 9" HF Coil. Popped right out through all the iron.

I like showing those to people that have never seen one. Usually gets a positive reaction even from those who don't like coins. Nice save!!
