Of course I love the old coins I find. But I also really appreciate a good old artifact. I've wanted a bridle rosette for some time now. I have no idea how old it is but nearby were rose nails and five minutes walk away I have previously found a 1724 KG Halfpence. The area also has given me early 1800's material. Also found a shoe buckle frag, fancy button, and an ox shoe. Looking forward to picking around this area. It was my first time in this neck of the woods and it looks as though I'm the first to detect it.

Great save of the bridal rosette. It's a real beauty. Congrat's on the other saves as well. Hammer this area hard. There are probably more artifacts to be found where these came from. Continued Success.

Late 18th-early 19th C. I only find them bust up by the plough, thats a very complete example with most of its plating.

Great looking rosette, congrats.
The last photo of the partial horse shoe.
What is the green disk stuck on the side?

That's one beautiful looking rosette, nice that the brass back attachment is still in place too.
I too love finding rosettes, rarely do you find two that are the same.

Here's an interesting example I found a few years ago.

A lot of those large items either went on the Head Stall or the breast collar . BUT NOT ALWAYS !!!
