Left facing bust, KG II 1740 to 1754. It looks like a "II" just to the right and above the bust which helps corroborate. Don't know where you are. KG II and III halfpennies are fairly common here in the Loyalist areas of Atlantic Canada. Always a nice find, though.

It's always a rush to see a large copper at the bottom of a hole- Congrats for knocking that one off the bucket list!
