I think it might be bronze from the color and weight (pretty heavy) but i am very much a beginner so i really have no clue. You from PA? im in luzerne county.

No it doesn't look like an ashtray. The coins are great .Did you clean them up abit? The third item might be a metal plate to something,but what I don't know.
As far as the spoon goes,if you can clean it up abit,or get a bigger picture of it,I might be able to tell you what the pattern is.Might be made by William Rogers.Rogers made and still makes silverware.Did you find anything else there? Keep looking around,you might find some more stuff.

I didn't clean the coins much but there is a glare from the sun. The spoon said Viceroy platted USA on the back. I looked it up an the Co was in business from the 1800s to the 1950s. Have not found much else but trash but I'm still looking for some silver up there. : )

wash that metal piece and please show the other side, i think that photo you posted may be the back. possibly a nameplate for a stove or farm impliment?

The W H emblem is cast but I have no idea what it went on. It almost looks like legs or scissors. I would post it in the what is it section for more exposure. Cool finds looks like a good area.

The symbol could be a compass (drawing type)and the w-h has a upper dash which could be
A degrees mark.possibly a navigation piece just a guess.
