My first silver ring!! Woohoo!!

Today's and yesterday's finds with one .925 silver ring, a couple pieces of fake jewelry and some clad. This silver ring is my first find of anything above clad coins and it has some stones in it but not sure if they are genuine diamonds. One of the nickels I pulled out of the ground had a buffalo on the reverse and I got all excited, then saw 2006 on the other side.

Not sure what the butterfly is made of but upon close inspection, it doesn’t look real. My 8yr old daughter will love it though, she likes little cute things like that so SCORE!
I was going to have the other two rings looked at, but I think I wait till I get more pieces and take them all in at once. Either that or buy a testing kit and do it myself.
Now because of those finds, I will be gridding that area off and taking it down section by section.

Congrats on your first ring. As long as you stick with it, you continue to find cool stuff. Very well done.

One hint, they don't usually put diamonds into silver settings, so if it says 925 or sterling, it aint a diamond. I found this out by taking my first "diamond" and 925 ring to the jewelry store. They laughed at me... but they are the first people to do so! Probably not the last either.

It USED to be that it was rare for diamonds to be mounted in sterling....
