Ray Bradbury one of my favorite science fiction/science fact writers kin to Isaac Asimov.

It's great you know so much about your family history. Most do not. You have a blessing there.

I wanna say Cool :icon_thumleft:
but of Course not exactly cool for Her

Sometimes I wonder - If they did hang her back then - maybe , I may never have been born ?

I wanna be related to a Pirate & find his maps :laughing7:
Bad thing , While Raping & Pillaging the women don't take the pirates name

May God bless your many great Grandmother. May she rest in Peace. Too bad she did not bury any treasures.

Even if it's Captain Longdong? :laughing7:

Wish I could follow my family name back half that far...lol. Really cool!

My great great great great great (maybe a few more or less greats) grandfather was John Aldan (apparently unknowingly, another grandchild of him married again to a member of my family at one point :laughing7:), and my great great great great (maybe a few more greats) grandmother was beheaded by the king in the 1500's or 1600's. Very interesting family history you have, not many people can trace it that far back :icon_thumleft:. I just wish that I inherited some some tree coins from John Aldan's children, that would make it a little more cool :laughing7:.

I have one of those books from my Grandfather, I think it was written in around 1920, very interesting to look at. I don't have a book from my dad's side, besides he is the first person from his family to move to America so if he did I probably would have a hard to reading it. I know that my dad's family is traced back around 1000 years, all from the same general area France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain area in Europe. I don't remember much though, I will have to ask him sometime.

Awesome story, thank you for sharing! :icon_thumleft:

I think that at one time it was a popular thing, writing a book about your family history. The one for my mother's family came out in 1914. It goes back to the first person from that family to come to the US in 1648.

Just think, she could have avoided all that strife if she'd just not talked about that strange dream she had! :laughing7:
