My kingdom for an "S"

I was scouting a new site that saw a lot of activity between 1925 and 1930. I couldn't find the spot I was looking for but stumbled across a wheatie. I got it home and began the dance.

Soap and water

warm peroxide

dry SOS with soap ( I know it is not a smart way to clean anything, but hey it worked.)

First I see ABE

Then I see 1909.

Flip it over VDB

AND...

Nothing, I keep rechecking. Maybe it slipped down to the rim? No. It isn't there.

So now I am dreaming about what could have been. Not as exciting as the 2 center from yesterday, but cool none the less.

It was one of three pennies I found in a 90 minute hunt.
I think I resized my pictures but the detail is terrible.
