Mystery Ball, found in Fife, Scotland.

Hi there,

I am a new member to this forum, as I have recently found a spherical object in a ditch next to a field. I found it as I was walking my dog, and have since to identify it! I'm always on the lookout for interesting objects, but have no prior knowledge.. It's basically a weighted ball, although not metalic, but stone. My first guess would be musketball, but I was hoping somebody would be able to help me out! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
