What's the dimensions? Would it fit on a finger? Maybe it's an old whistle ring that the kids blew on and it gave off a whirrring noise. Just a guess.

True_Metal - Yes it will fit somebodies finger but not mine , I also think it's a Whistle Ring , If you blow into the upper part of the ring the inside of the ring will turn , Also it's made of brass , Just wondering about the age of the ring & who made it .

They even had those when I was a kid growing up in the 60's, but this one is obviously much older. Nice find. You might work on it to see if you can get it to move. 8)
