Seems like they were up to a bit more than just camping while passing through.
A long time before river waters rose high enough to get level with, &
cover up some of their higher handcrafted artworks.

I would pay attention to the trail in post #817 and any really BIG boulders off to the side of it. Can't see for certain much for positioned markers in any anything else. The current medium sized boulder in #817 I don't think is a marker though. But maybe. Look for tree markings as well, Like old triangle or wedge cuts, kind of a "blaze" near the boulders.

Some of was walking along a creek in the woods & came across this in the bed rock & there was half a dozen like this. (no foto's but pix'd) I showed it & just kidding said Indians did it about Tipi's

except he said they did & meant < No Camping >
