Hey guys, didn't fall off the end of the earth...had death in family and never felt like posting..had lurked once and awhile and plan to catch up soon with others post..
will post up other finds tomorrow but wanted to share this near mint "Pewter" that held up for a couple hundred years..Thanks..

Wow, amazing condition for a 1700's pewter button! There's one on eBay right now with a $2,500 price tag and your button is in much better condition than that one. Great find!

Sorry to hear about the loss of a family member buddy. When a guy like me sees a Rev button like that it’s like looking at a unicorn. Rev buttons are extremely hard to find in Maine where I live. The condition of that is amazing. I’ll slap down a BANNER vote. I challenge somebody to show me a better condition RP pewter

You are so right Cru..we were saying the exact same thing...
I remember one spot we dug over 500 coins and 2000 buttons in a small area on a heavyily farmed and ploughed area..only a very small fraction of them had significant details on them
