Neat little ring found

I found this small ring at my local hunting grounds. Looks like it may have been in a fire, because it has small pits all over it. The stone has a nice blue color but has a chip and some scratches on it. It looks to me to be an old ring. I search for silver coins most of the time but thought I would not tune out the lower tones and found it in just a few swings of the coil.
