Hello everyone, I'm trying to find out some information on these shotgun shells. I cant find these exact headstamps on the web. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
1896 - 1938
Winchester made this style in 10, 12, 16, and 20 gauge.
Here's a 20 gauge
After 1927 some would say made in USA like this 10 gauge.
20 gauge
Leader 1897 - 1943 says made in USA after 1933.
Contact the cartridge-corner site they may need a photo if your leader with the 20 on the left side and your repeater on the right.
Made also in Canada, Mexico, Italy and Australia.

Thanks for reply, that's kind of what I found. What's different is the 20 ga shell is stamped 20 ga not NO 20. I am curious as to why the difference.

Contact that site i posted. Sometime they need a picture of what you have. An example is I posted a 1936 Tyngsborough Mass dog tag in the forum and someone on the forum was collecting data. They said in that town they had one from the 50s so he was glad I posted and he filed it. You may have something they need or they may just get back to with what you need.

Thanks, I sent them a picture of the headstamp. I'll let you know what I find out.

Just more of an ave of inquiry but I think I remember in my own headstamp research that they did the 20 ga for like a year or two in the early or mid 20’s… I’m not sure how to search it exactly but there was a guy named turtlefoot on this site and other sites that knew all you could ever want to know, if you can find his old posts there’s probably lots of information to be found

I contacted cartridge corner and got a very quick response from Curtis. He said the 20 ga was changed in the 1930's to get inline with other manufactures who were using ga instead of no.. The 12ga, Curtis pointed out, is on his web site. http://www.cartridge-corner.com/winch.ht
Thankyou all for all the help!!
