I’ve posted here before about a large number of native items I’ve found in a small area…including gold coins, pipes, jewelers, and various iron arrowheads. I recently found another spot that has produced 4 iron points, a native pennant, and about 30 small iron points, which I’ve been told are “bird points”. I attached a pic. I found something odd in the same spot. Pic attached. It’s a conical shape. It’s hollow and has a bulge on one side. Can anyone tell if this is native, or may have been repurposed as by a native as something that was once done with stone?

Don't know what the object in picture 1 is, but the triangular objects in picture 2, are these what you're calling Iron arrowheads?

Ok, the cone cleaned up a little. I don’t know what this would have been.

I am wondering if this could be a horn of some kind. I have a small powder horn whose tip/spout has a similar shape, however that would not explain the bulge on the side. Is the material stone, metal, or does it look like it could be keratin and bone? It does not really look like it, but I can't tell if the texture is from residue over time, or if it is the real surface texture.

It’s iron. The bulge popped off. I think it was dirt and rust

None are Indian artifacts.

Tell us how you found them. It’s an eclectic bunch of stuff. Maybe a little context could help.
Hey! So, I found several of the iron points in a 10x10 area. This was on the edge of the creek. I previously found a couple gold coins on the bank, about 30’ north of these points. One on the top of the bank and one in the creek. I gave one ($5 coin) to a friend who was helping me at the time.

I bought the new 900 recently and hit the area again, and started to dig up even more…a native silver pennant. Tons of what appear to be these small points. These are pretty deep, in line with what I’ve pulled from the mid 1800.

Some civil war bullets, and a large civil war casing that someone literally chewed on and then cut the tip off of to use the scrap, I assume.

I posted here a few years ago about items I found here at the time, including a bloodstone pipe. There was a trading post on my property, and the Caddo tribe lived here. The troops did camp here as well.

I should also mention that I have a large amount of metal slag from an area about 300’ away. I had it tested and it’s a blend of gold, silver, cadmium, iron, and copper. NO aluminum. Anyway, that little silver arrowhead you see was tested and has the exact makeup. So, someone was actually casting those little arrowheads here!

here you go. 1880 $10. The other is a $5. Who know what happened. I assume crossing the creek and had an accident. The trading post owner was German and his father in law was the Potawatomi chief Abram Burnett, who was rumored to have a lot of gold. Could have been a drunk gambler from Delano. Who knows.

Judging by the size of the relic in your hand, I suppose it is possible that it could be a candle snuffer.

Well, this is a first for me. Context doesn't help much. And yet, maybe it does. Grouped together, they are quite odd. Maybe a ferry crossing? I wouldn't call all those punched out triangle's arrowheads, but who knows. Souvenirs? Old Dump site?
