Needing help to identify

The stones remind me of river rocks since they are really smooth but they are also extremely heavy and hard to break open. I managed to chip away with a sledge hammer to reveal the inside.

The other pearl looking like a human heart shape I think might be a black pearl? Or an unfinished pearl?
