In December of 2017 I posted some pictures of an old desk that I had recently bought. It is still posted and the title is, "texas oak desk find". I have since been told the desk is not oak. A user, (Against The Wind), had asked if there were any tags, inscriptions or makers mark on it. I looked it all over and found nothing. Well, recently I removed the small drawer in the cubby hole part and saw this written on the back of the drawer. Does anyone know if this is could be 20181120_094319.jpg from the days of the New Almaden quicksilver mine? As always, thanks for your help!

The US Postal service used the three letter abbreviations from 1874-1943.
The New Almaden mines were producing from 1845-1912.
So my guess would be there could be a good chance it is.
Looking at you piece it has a very early vintage look.
I would see if you could research the name and maybe find more info.
Congrats on a great historical find.
