What context it was found it makes all the difference. Almost looks like massive chalcopyrite.

Thanks guys.... It’s mainly gold... IN COLOR. Lol.. A yellowish brass for sure. Which has had me think chalcopyrite, but this thing is 5 lbs solid and consistently the same throughout. I’ve even broken off a piece (the other small one in pics) to see inside and when I did that it was as bright as gold! I actually got this doing a landscaping cleanup about 2 years ago, and it was muddied and in a pile of junk. I must say I proudly picked it with my eye ;) It’s been water cleaned ONLY... For a couple hours. lol.. It just caught my eye as not normal rock then and I was right about that.. But I can’t find anything similar anywhere..? Unless it truly were Gol.....

The other rock posted in my 4th post above I thought shows pyrite and or copper or some rare earth metals stuck within it. I was looking for info on that as well. Picked in same house as other piece, but this one was inside. Always looked that way. Not washed at all..

And the yard it was found in was a basic Century old house in the Lower Hudson Valley, Ny. My apologies for the late reply to my OP. Just getting used to and navigating the site. I’m putting kids to bed now... Will try to be back on tonight. But I’ll for sure be ALL OVER here tomorrow!! Thanks again everyone!!

I think you may have overlooked the question by Madmox who asked where in the US it was found. Any information you can give will help the folks here give you a correct ID. I have no idea what it is.
