Hello all, new member, new to the hobby. Just dabbled so far with a cheap detector. Looking for some advice on laws and places to detect in Yakima and Kittitas counties. A partner would be great, too.

Welcome from Delaware! I was in the Yakima desert back in the 70's, with the U.S. Army. Scrub bushes as far as I could see in all directions. That, and a damn cold wind the whole time! Army camping in the winter, in Washington. Great fun, if you're a fan of frostbite! Happy hunting!

Hi Tim, welcome and don't downplay your cheap machine. I hunt with a gal the only used yard sale detectors and she always outdoes me every time.
The trick is the more you use your machine the better able to hear those differance tones?
