My friends and I worked an area this morning that has significant colonial history. It was looking like I was going home empty handed, but this 1730 King George II copper saved the day.

This is my first coin from the 1700’s, and is a full 70 years older than my previous oldest coin!

Mike, that coin cleaned up great, unlike the other coppers we've retrieved nearby. AND, at least a hundred years older than any of the others. Congrats on not only making it into the 1700s, damn near close to the 1600s.

Congrats on joining the 1700's club. That copper is in wonderful shape. Don't stray too far from the club door, I'll be knocking on it this fall or winter .
