Pretty big park though, would have to be south of 610, but that still leaves abt 500 acres, I guess?

Looking at some old maps, my best guess is somewhere in the yellow box, assuming the "Park woods" were inside the actual boundary of the park. The red box is the approximate boundary of the park during the mid 1800s. However, the whole area was woods/swamp back then so if the "Park woods" just referred to the general area, it could be any where south of 610 like jharhed said.

I found this 1876 Russian 1 Kopek in city Park not too long ago. In 1776 in the United States. This year is celebrated in the United States as the official beginning of its nationhood, with the Declaration of Independence issued on July 4. So I'd like to think some Russian guy made it over to New Orleans for the 100th Anniversary.

I'd surmise "Park Woods" would refer to the Park in General.
but also be any part of the Park that happen to be woods
in 1866. so they felt unseen. Though they apparently Weren't.
