I've been looking at this site for a while and finally found the farmer out in his field to get permission. He stated it's been hunted a lot but told me to go ahead.
Didn't find anything really old, but there were till things to find. The ever present mason jar lids, pottery, an old button, a clad penny, a wheat penny (not able to get a date), an old pocket knife, some sort of small aluminum pin, the top of an old toy truck with two horns on the top and the neatest thing was the sailor pin which I almost tossed because I thought it was just another piece of slag from the fireplace (I found a lot of that). Didn't realize I had something until I looked through my trash pile and decided to wash it off....you never know. Good hunting all.

"small aluminum pin" is number zero and fell off a wooden telephone/elec utility pole.

Good finds! If all that was left behind, there are probably a few good ones still in the dirt there! Congratulations!
