Hello all. Im from Arkansas and I have been using an older metal detector around Lake Greeson, which is in my backdoor, but all I am finding is coke tabs, and would like to find someone in my area to hunt with. I hope to make some friends here on this site.

The age of your detector makes no difference. If people were excited about it when it was the "latest and greatest", it will still so as good a job now. If you are finding lots of pull tabs, you will find nickels, and you will find gold if it happens to come under your coil and within the machines depth range. I've always found lake shores to be pretty trashy. I've found lots of fish-hooks, sinkers, beer cans, aluminum foil, etc., but there's always some good stuff if you keep plugging. Good luck!!
