Well today was finally the day. Lionhrt9 and I finally met up to go do some hunting in NW Indiana this morning. On my way out to load my gear in the truck I looked down and there was a quarter. woohoo. I picked it up and it was a Texas state quarter. WOOHOO. I figured it had to be a good sign. We got to the wooded area that he and a few others had had some luck at and begin huntin'. I swept my coil and immediately had a quarter signal. dug and low and behold a clad quarter. I hit the area pretty good and found some more clad. I walked toward where lionhrt was and got another signal. At about 4 inches popped up my first silver quarter. I was quiet the happy hunter. We searched for about 3 hours but didnt hit any other silver. I am attaching the pix of the quarter that Lion was kind enough to take. All in all it was a great morning above and beyond the silver. Thanks to TNet I have made another friend. Thanks Lion for taking me this morning. I had a great time.
TMAN...

It was an absolute pleasure to take you hunting NW Indiana style (woods) :). Only in America and through TNet can you meet someone as nice as tman, a true treasure hunter from the great state of Texas. Being out of town on work duty, meeting up with me, trampsing around in woods, and having the silver :o day he did, I couldn't be happier.

After detecting for about an hour and a half I started working my way back to where we set up base camp. I got within 30 yards of tman and could see the smile right before the words, "We got silver baby!" came out of his mouth. We did the happy dance for 10 min. after he let me see the beauty of his 1941 quarter.

That is the 2nd silver out of this area, and both quarters. The other was 1935 by krazyglue (Pat). The 35 was dug at 3 inches and tman's I believe was at 4 inches. I really believe this site has not been hit too hard or if at all. I think some more time will be spent in the woods of NW Indiana. ;)

PS and the rain held off for us!!! ;D
