Nice button. I think it dates later than the time frame you suggested. First, two piece butons didn't come into style until the mid 1830s. Second, your Superior Quality backmark between an inner and outer ring of dots/hyphens was used by the Steele and Johnson company around 1860.

The most info I could get is somewhere around 1805-1848.
